My Birthday Weekend...June 21-22, 2008

Well, we started off the Summer Weekend of June 21 (My Birthday by the way) with Dad and Kevin putting together my new grill....a gift from everyone for my birthday. The grill is great and so much better then the 10 year old one that we've been using. We broke in the grill by making Filet Mignon for dinner and burgers for luch...I think they tasted extra good!

I aslo thought it was time to update the picture of the living room. As you can see I have a new picture upbove the fireplace. The Bear Cubs...its really a beautifully framed and matted print.

I've also splurged and re-decorated the back bedroom with new Laura Ashley bedding. This is the back bedroom that has the twin & full size beds in it.

Bear sighting

This was a intersting story...my sister decided to walk to the beach ( less then a mile from my house ) and as she was walking she heard some neighbors talk about a bear running thru the back yards. Before she knew it, this bear in the above picture ran right out in front of her and across the street. She managed to snap this picture before the bear disappeared into the woods behind her house. Very exciting =)

Here are a few of the local's at Arrowhead Lake. The deer are so graceful and beautiful to watch. They walk right past your car, and sometimes, pose for pictures like these two did for me.

I took this ride in the fall of 2006 at the Jack Frost ski resort. This is something I'd highly recommend, what a ride!!

While we were fishing one afternoon, I noticed this deer swimming across the lake. I caught him with the telephoto lens of my camera as he made it to the other side of the lake :). Gotta love all the deer at Arrowhead Lake.
